Truck Accident

Okay, so I'm feeling really really frustrated.  I know that some people are really forgetful by nature, but an elderly lady hit my truck this afternoon.  I was in the inside main lane going straight and she was in a turning lane on my left.  I was continuing to go straight and she just barrels into the rear quarter panel of my truck b/c she didn't want to turn LEFT (which is the lane she was in) she wanted to go straight.  Well, Hello!!! Don't you think you should WAIT YOUR TURN!!!!  She still doesn't think she was in the wrong and argued with 2 Houston City Police Officers AND a Harris County Constable.  I just stood back and watched her.  When they told her to be quiet I told my side.  Which corresponded to the Witness that was directly behind me!!!  She still thinks she is RIGHT!!!  Well, ALL the officers told her that she should have YIELDED to ME and waited her turn.  And she says otherwise.  The witness originally just gave us his business card, but when she started to argue with BOTH of us AND the OFFICER, he looked at me and said, "I think I should stay to give a statement and talk to the Constable since this is obvious she doesn't want to admit she is wrong."  I said, "Thank you" several times.  OH, did I mention she FORGOT whether or not she paid her auto insurance and had an expired insurance card with her? So she got a ticket for that.  "I've never gotten a ticket before" she told the officer.  Then she comes to me and asks, "Did you see where I put my cell phone?"  Hello???  Am I supposed to keep track of your stuff?  I told her, "I saw you go to your car with it." Which was true.  She proceeded to tell me about her family during the HOUR we waited for the Constable to arrive, I just wanted to walk off and drive away.  How can you argue that its MY fault then want to discuss family and life with me?  I don't understand.  I think she is lonely b/c I did learn she is a widow with 2 dogs and her family is in Austin.  But hey, her family needs to check in on her.  She needs some help b/c all she kept saying was, "I don't remember seeing your truck in front of me, if I had I would have stopped"  Well, it was, and You hit it.  I was on my way home from school with both the kids and THANKFULLY I have Videos in my truck, b/c they were still wanting out of their car seats.  Yeah right, in a busy street. This happened on West Lake Houston in front of Double Dave's Pizza, you know the spot if you live here and drive here.  There are SO SO SO many accidents there.  I'm just so very thankful it wasn't serious and that no one was injured.  Its just a truck, its just an object, its just material.  Life is so much more important and precious.  Thank you Lord for looking out for us this afternoon!
